X is closing the Community due to low usage and spam

Communities on X will be turned off on May 6, 2026. Group admins can move their members to the newly updated chat group. (The company extended the deadline for the move to May 30.)

To accommodate the growing number of X Community members, XChat – the app’s messaging service, which is about to be launched as a standalone app – will support “interactive” links in group chats.
