Sending Voice Notes publicly on X perhaps no long possible, but now you can share voice messages within the X machine directly, X Chat, again. The social networking site announced late Wednesday that Voice Notes support is now available within its privacy service.
The feature, which works for one-to-one messages and group chats, is activated by pushing the voice icon to the right of the chat box. At launch, you have to keep pressing the button to record a voice message, but we found that a press-and-hold followed by a swipe up allows it to record without your finger on the button.
The new addition could make X Chat more competitive with other messaging apps, where audio recording has become a standard feature. This is very important for the company, because of the latest the emergence of X Chat as its own app.
It can also reduce angry users who didn’t appreciate that the X Chat upgrade removed the Voice Notes feature.
The move follows X’s latest beta test of the X Chat app on iOS, which provides access to the upgraded X DM feature. Although the company claims that the chat is encrypted at the end, security experts they have warned that the service is more secure than other messaging apps, such as Signal.
The launch of this new program shows a change in direction in the social network, as its owner Elon Musk has said that X will be the most advanced program, or “all apps.” Now, the company is looking to turn pieces of its software into personal experiences. X Money, X’s payment service, it is also being tested as a separate programFor example.
Voice Notes have been live on X Chat for a while even after being removed for a while. When X first to inform his new social media platform in November, said the song “will be back soon.”
Meanwhile, the X Chat service also supports other features, such as the ability to edit and delete messages, block or be notified of images, share files, make voice and video calls, and set messages to disappear.
