Season 3 Euphoria It’s coming to an end – but Is the show coming back? More episodes?
The hit HBO series premiered in 2019 and originally followed troubled high school student Rue (Zendaya) as she struggles to stay sober after rehab. Euphoria It was renewed for a second season soon after its premiere, but it took nearly three years for the series to air.

“Some people have asked why it took so long between seasons two and three. There were the obvious factors — the walkout, trying to make the schedule fit with our very popular cast, but the real time was trying to figure out a way to honor those we lost,” Levinson told Variety in April 2026.
He continued, “It was hard when Angus died. I loved him dearly and I worked hard to keep him clean. The year he died, in 2023, he was one of 73,000 people in the United States who died from a fentanyl overdose. I learned a lot that year, but most of all I realized that death gives life meaning. You can’t be arrogant about existence. You are forced to face the fact that life itself is a miracle, a gift, and a profound blessing.”

“(I) write every season like it’s the last,” he told Variety in April 2026. “(I) have no plans (for a fourth season).”
He continued: “I want to finish this to the best of my ability. I’m still editing episodes 7 and 8. I’m putting some finishing touches on it. I just want to deliver a slam dunk season.”
