The show experienced multiple delays before its third season premiered in April 2026. Hinting at the problems behind the scenes.

“Labrinth” began to rise to prominence in the 2010s, but its breakout moment came when “Euphoria” debuted on HBO. He produced the soundtrack for seasons one and two and collaborated with Zendaya on the song “All for Us” for the show.
Labrinth ended up winning an Emmy in the Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics category for Season 1.
The musician hinted at the split in March 2026, when he appeared to confirm his retirement from the industry. He then detailed the reasons that led him to do so stay away from his involvement and Euphoria.
“People will lie so easily in this industry and still call themselves honest people. So the sky’s the limit and I’ve decided to delete all the music in it,” he wrote on Instagram in April 2026.
He continued: “I talked to HBO and from what I heard, we were cool. I left because, at the end of the day, the fact is, when I work for someone, their vision is important to me, but I’m not going to let people treat me like crap.”

Sam Levinson discussed the musical changes for Season 3 in an interview with Rolling Stone, saying, “(Labrinth) is an incredible collaborator and someone who really laid the foundation for Euphoria’s sound.”
Levinson noted that the five-year time jump resulted in the sound’s “pop roots” having been “disappeared.” He added, “In general, I’m less interested in needle drops and more interested in the things that guide us through the world.”
Composer Hans Zimmer was asked to lead the score with full composer credits. Labrinth announced the release of “Shut Your Damn 95.7892” to coincide with the Season 3 premiere of Euphoria.
