Why foreign tourists are staying away from India’s party capital

Data released by the Goa tourism department highlights these trends. In 2017, nearly 900,000 foreigners visited the state. By 2025, this number had dropped to around 500,000. On the other hand, the number of domestic tourists increased from 6.8 million in 2016 to more than 10 million last year.
