Taylor SheridanA fan-favorite series Landman Renewed for Season 3—— But when will it premiere??
director Stephen Kay Recently teased when Randleman will return, tell hollywood reporterthe creators are “editing while we’re filming, so hopefully it’ll be out soon.”
The plan is to compress both parts of the development cycle to avoid long waits between seasons. That means a release either in late 2026 or early 2027.
Inspired by the “Boomtown” podcast series, Landman centers on the West Texas oil industry, with a special focus on crisis executive Tommy Norris (billy bob thornton) and his family. The second season, which premieres in October 2025, set a ratings record for Paramount+ with more than 9.2 million streaming views in its first two days. The increase in views compared to the Season 1 premiere made it the most-watched premiere of any original series on Paramount+.
In the season two finale, which aired in January, Cooper (Jacob Lofland) Confident Ariana (Paulina Chavez) report her Sexual assault to police. As a result, the person responsible for the attack was taken to hospital and died of a heart attack, and Cooper was questioned.
When Cooper’s father, Tommy, learned of the situation, he made sure his son would not be charged with a crime he did not commit. With help from Rebecca (Kayla Wallace), Tommy prevents authorities from arresting Cooper.
Tommy also dealt with the aftermath of being fired by Cami (Demi Moore) by creating his own oil company. He hired Cooper, Ariana, Rebecca, Dale (James Jordan), TL (Sam Elliott), Nathan (Colm Feore), boss(Mustafa speaks), king (Dougie Hall) and Cheyenne (Francesca Shereb).
Before starting his own company, Tommy secured an investment earlier in the season after questioning Gallino’s (Andy Garcia) ties to the drug cartel. There’s also Ainsley (Michelle Randolph) struggling on the college cheerleading team while befriending her former roommate, whom she decided to move back in with at the end of the finale.
exaggerated storyline is a staple in Sheridan’s hit Paramount+ exhibit. Ahead of the Season 2 finale, Randolph, 28, reflected on receiving “a mix of some feminist negativity” and praise for her role on “Sheridan.” 1923 and Landman.
“It’s all of the above. I have to stop allowing myself to defend my character because when you spend too much time in someone else’s head space, you start to understand their logic,” she explained to Interview magazine. “With Ainsley (Landman), I’m totally different from her, but I also like her a lot. I would say she’s not stupid, she just has limited life experience and we’re in her most formative years.”
Randolph appreciated the challenge, adding: “What a blessing it is to be able to play a character who is constantly evolving. It challenged me in so many ways – what’s on the page is very different from what you see on the screen. I tried to add her authenticity and sincerity so that there were more redeeming qualities.”
