Cole Thomas Allen hints at his disgust president donald trump he wrote in a letter to his family before the alleged shooting outside the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner.
“I feel angry thinking about everything this administration has done,” the 31-year-old suspect reportedly wrote. nbc newsadding that “executive officials” were his “targets.”
Allen appears to prioritize government members in order “from most senior to least senior.” NBC News reports Allen ‘excluding’ FBI director Kashi Patel on his bucket list.
Allen apparently sent the note to his family as well as his colleagues, students, bystanders and others about 10 minutes before the attack on Saturday, April 25. Allen’s brother reportedly contacted the New London Police Department in Connecticut two hours after the shooting.

According to NBC News, the police department confirmed they received information from “an individual who expressed concerns about an incident that occurred earlier that evening at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner.” The caller was interviewed by authorities.
“I don’t expect forgiveness,” Allen allegedly wrote. “Again, I sincerely apologize.”
The shooting occurred Saturday as White House officials and reporters gathered with President Trump in a ballroom at the Washington Hilton hotel during the annual event. One Secret Service agent was shot, but he was saved by a bulletproof vest, while other attendees were quickly escorted from the event.
Allen was taken into federal custody near the event. He was allegedly armed with a shotgun, a handgun and knives, according to authorities.
Erica Kirk was present when gunfire erupted at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. CNN reports that Kirk, 37, was seen crying during chaos at the Washington Hilton Hotel in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, April 25. Speaking to reporters after the incident on Saturday, Trump, 79, praised his wife, Melania Trumpto keep calm.
“I want to thank the first lady, this has been a pretty traumatic experience for her,” he shared. “We’re not going to let anyone take over our society, we’re not going to cancel something… We can’t do that. We want to stay tonight, I say desperately, but here’s the deal… There’s a lot of action going on.”
The president appears on 60 Minutes on Sunday, April 26 A longer conversation about what happened.
“I wanted to see what happened, but I didn’t make it easy for (the Gunners). I wanted to see what happened,” he said. “At that point, we started to realize that this might be a bad problem, a different kind of problem, a bad problem, and different from the normal noise you hear in the ballroom all the time. I’m surrounded by great people, and I might be asking them to move a little slower. I said, ‘Wait a minute, let me think about it.'”
Allen is expected to appear in federal court on Monday, April 27.
