What does it take to survive extreme Arctic weather?


To survive in one of the harshest environments on Earth, the people who live and patrol the Canadian Arctic rely on lessons learned passed down from generation to generation.

The BBC joined Canadian military rangers on the final leg of a 5,200-kilometer (3,200-mile) Arctic patrol, where they shared the survival skills needed to endure freezing temperatures, navigate remote tundra and camp in frigid conditions of -60C (-76F).
