What are Harry and Meghan doing in Australia?

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have arrived in Australia for a four-day visit that will include visits to charities as well as private money-making events.

The couple, who visited as private citizens after stepping down as working royals in January 2020 and giving up their HRH titles, said the trip was privately funded.

The visit included meetings with children’s hospital patients and medical staff, veterans and their families, and survivors of domestic violence.

BBC News correspondent Simon Atkinson explains how Harry and Meghan’s visit differs from their last visit to the country in 2018.
