Venezuelan prison inmates protest alleged abuse

While Injuba is not one of the prisons where most political prisoners are typically held, the Venezuelan Committee for the Freedom of Political Prisoners expressed solidarity with prisoners there, claiming that “punishment, starvation, solitary confinement, torture and inhumane conditions” are used to control and subdue prisoners and “form part of prison policy.”
