Vance asked when rebuking the Pope.

US Vice President J.D. Vance has questioned Pope Leo after his public spat with Donald Trump over the Iran war.

At a Turning Point USA event in Georgia, a heckler in the crowd yelled that Vance scolded the pope to “be careful when he talks about theological issues.”

Pope Leo, the first American pope, has repeatedly condemned the war in Iran, saying it had led to “ridiculous and inhumane violence.”

The pope said Monday that he is “not afraid” of the Trump administration and does not “proclaim loudly the message of the Gospel, which I believe is what I am here for.”
