The match, which Shabab Al-Ahly lost 0-1, included unfair refereeing, which included disallowing a deserved goal for the Emirati club in the final seconds of the match.
The Emirati side called for a replay after Shabab Al-Ahly Dubai’s goal was ruled out after a technical back-up for a ball that was played before the Japanese player came out to make a change, in an attack that led to the goal.
But this video showed that the player asked my players Shabab Al-Ahly Start playing again.
AFC decision
In a letter confirmed by Sky News Arabia, AFC said in a statement to the UAE Football Association: “The offer made by Shabab Al-Ahly Club (United Arab Emirates) has been rejected.”
It is expected that the Emirati club will turn to the International Sports Court (CAS).
Shabab Al-Ahly staged a protest against Australian footballer Shaun Evans, protesting the disallowance of the equaliser’s goals scored by the team during stoppage time.
The Emirati club is determined to pursue all of its legal rights, demanding a replay due to an officiating error, after the goal was disallowed due to refereeing on behalf of the opposing team.
The team submitted their objections on the pitch immediately after the match, before following up with an official statement through the AFC’s approved procedures.
This comes in collaboration with the UAE Football Association, as part of maintaining the rights of Emirati clubs in the competition.
