“Thank you all again for the overwhelming support,” she wrote on Instagram Stories late Monday. “Especially writers, therapists, doctors, experts, lawyers, as well as neighbors, producers, family and friends from across the country.”

Mikaela initially responded that the comment was “funny,” then insisted she was “fed up” when a fan asked her why she suddenly addressed the issue. Another suggested she should focus on marital issues with her husband Jess Terry and her chronic illness.

“I love biased double standards 🙃 I really want to see how you would handle the same situation we are in,” Mikayla responded. “If you feel entitled to comment on our lives, don’t be surprised when we respond. I’m not one to change my opinion to save face online.”

She made her point in an Instagram Story, explaining that she’s “trying to stay as far away as possible” from Taylor’s recent legal issues with Dakota, 33.

“I am absolutely disgusted and absolutely horrified by what everyone involved felt and went through,” Mikayla wrote. “However, it is not my job to condone bad or dangerous behavior by either party, especially when children are involved.”

Mikayla insists she has tried to support Taylor during past crises but now feels “you can’t save people who don’t want to be part of the rescue effort.”

Taylor asks a question Michaela recounted their altercation, describing her partner as “the epitome of someone waiting for my downfall, not only watching it, but obviously kicking me.”

“I rarely, if ever, cried to her for help,” Taylor wrote. “I’m fed up, but I know she’s going through her own (health) issues and I don’t want to make it worse. Obviously she can’t do the same thing. PS: If she doesn’t want to shoot with me, she can find her way to the door. Next.”

She continued, “Happy day to all the moms out there. Of course, I’m spiraling… people calling out to me and me not being able to respond? That’s exactly what I won’t tolerate anymore. Thank God for the people he sent to help me through this, being so close to my enemies.”

Taylor’s Mother’s Day post did little to quell the feud, as Michaela doubles down She expressed her stance via Instagram that day.

“I could probably write a book about this. Nothing I say denies that she went through anything painful, traumatic or difficult, there is no doubt about it,” Matthews wrote. “Two things could be true. Someone could get hurt and still hurt people around them in the process.”

She added, “(My silence) is because I no longer want to publicly participate in or normalize the cycle that affects everyone around me, especially when it comes to children and recurring violence.”
