The patrol, which concluded Friday in Churchill, Manitoba, is the largest northern mission in the history of the Canadian Rangers. The Canadian Rangers are a branch of the Canadian Armed Forces that monitor remote areas of the country. They traveled 5,200 kilometers (3,200 miles) across the Arctic on a route that had not been attempted in 80 years.
