The financial services website Stripe is to initiate a digital wallet designed for the AI era, where autonomous agents can perform tasks that include shopping, paying for reservations, buying tickets, and more.
On his own annual meeting this week, company founded Connecta wallet that allows you to connect different payment methods, track your spending, and view your recurring subscriptions. It also allows you to integrate your AI assistants so they can work for you, safely.
Link, available at net, iOS, and Androidit offers many of the features you would expect from a digital wallet. You can connect payment methods, including credit cards, debit cards, crypto wallets, and buy now/pay later services, as well as store basic offline information such as billing and shipping information.
The wallet also offers other useful features, such as being able to see what you’re using, and track your subscriptions over and over again – even updating the payment method the service has on file, if needed. It also offers 90 days protection on eligible purchases from selected merchants.
But what makes Link interesting is its ability to work with independent AI assistants, such as OpenClaw and others.

The number of people experimenting with autonomous AI has been increasing, so far Apple sold out of its original Mac MinisA popular platform for running these new, always-on AIs. However, some people (rightfully so) decide to give the agent more payment options, even though it offers an advantage in keeping different bookings.
The link is designed to provide a solution, as users can connect their AI assistants and give them permission to make payments, without revealing their payment information.
To make it work, users will first give their agent access to the Link wallet through the OAuth (standard authentication) process. An agent can make a request for money, give you the article, and wait for your approval. Currently, it works with traditional payment methods, but Stripe says support for tokens, stablecoins, and other forms of payment is coming “soon.”

On mobile and online, users will receive notifications to approve the money request, which requires them to check the transaction before it is issued by the AI assistant. In the future, Stripe says it will expand its controls so that users can set their own spending limits, or decide when their agents can act without approval.
This bag is built on Stripe’s New release of agentswhich allows users to issue cards for agents to use for automatic purchases, with real-time authorization, control of spending, and complete visibility. Instead of giving the agent access to your payment information, users can give the agent access to Link, which provides a single-use card, or they can use Shared Payment Token (SPT), which is supported by payment cards and banks.
Developers and business builders or AI assistants can also use the Link wallet instead of building their own wallet, Stripe notes.
