Strike in Kenya’s Matatu over high oil prices brings traffic to a standstill

“There are no matatus everywhere… We used to pay Sh100 to Sh150, now it’s Sh300. Life has become so unbearable. So, (President William) Ruto, wherever you are, if you listen to us Kenyans, please lower the price of fuel,” a resident of Kitengela, a suburb of the city, who gave his name only as Charles, told Reuters.
