“I was there after (Taylor) hit rock bottom, I was there after (2023) Arrest rock bottom,” Matthews said, adding that she supported Paul after Mortensen’s past trysts with him Jenna, Xenia and Paul’s family and friends. “I delivered cookies, drinks, meals, etc. without even being asked, and even showed up at my lowest personal moments while dealing with my own trauma, betrayal, and health issues.”
She continued, “Each time, these behaviors and patterns continue and are publicly praised as ‘chaotic’ and ‘relevant.’ Continuing to show up and show empathy to those who mention time and time again that they cannot be friends right now, while acknowledging that they are self-aware of the decisions they have made and are still expected to be loyal online… is not only detrimental to my recovery, but also to others involved. You can’t save someone who is unwilling to participate in the rescue.”
Matthews further claimed that “having a moral compass and boundaries” does not make her a “bad or jealous” friend.

“She was the epitome of someone who was waiting for my downfall and not only looked at me but apparently kicked me.
