Michelle Pfeiffer reveals the reality behind her hit show’s idyllic backdrop Madison Hotel.
The three-time Oscar nominee stars in the Paramount+ drama, which stars yellowstone parkof Taylor Sheridanand in rural Montana, that means getting back to basics.
“There were no bathrooms. Not even the outhouses were real. No air conditioning, no plumbing, nothing,” Pfeiffer, 68, told The New York Times in an interview. Los Angeles Times Published on Monday, May 18. “But it’s breathtakingly beautiful. It’s glorious.”
“It takes a while (to adjust),” she said. “It was a bit of a rush for everyone. So there wasn’t much, like accommodations, set-up. We didn’t have real trailers there because they were shooting 360, so they couldn’t have a bunch of trailers around. So there wasn’t really anywhere for us to sit.”
Pfeiffer added, “There were no bathrooms nearby. There was no food. It was cold in the winter and we were like, ‘Can we have a heater?’ In the summer, I’m like, ‘Can I bring an umbrella because the sun is really strong?'”
