After the Justice Department determined that Yanzheng repeatedly injected Perry with ketamine, Madeleine, 37, wrote in a statement that even though Perry had “no medical training,” Yanzheng “injected my brother with a lethal dose of ketamine and then left him in a hot tub to die.”
Her statement continued, “It is difficult to put into words the sense of betrayal I felt when I found out what Kenny had done. In many ways, I felt like my brother had died all over again. Everything I believed on the day he died — everything Kenny told us — was a lie. That someone my brother considered family could betray him in such an unimaginable way is something I could never have imagined.”
Caitlyn, 43, echoed those sentiments in her own statement. “I can’t read Kenny’s mind. I will never know if the fatal dose of ketamine was just fatal by accident. But I do know that when Kenny left his home, he was doing one of two things. He was either running away from something he knew he had done, or he was intentionally abandoning a vulnerable person in a dangerous situation,” she wrote.
