Over the course of her career, Swift, 36, has won Artist of the Year at the AMAs seven times — in 2009, 2011, 2013, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2022 — and has 11 nominations in the category. Bieber, 32, is this year’s only multiple nominee for the award, having previously won twice in 2010 and 2012, for a total of five nominations.
Two other contenders have won Entertainer of the Year in the past: Mars in 2017 and BTS in 2021. The 40-year-old “I Just Might” singer has been nominated for the award three times, while the boy band has won it twice.
As for the remaining nominees, Gaga, 40, is a four-time nominee for Artist of the Year, while Lamar, 38, is a three-time nominee for the award. Bad Bunny, 32, Styles, 32, Warren, 33, and Carpenter, 27, all received two nominations.
Swift leads the pack of nominees at the 2026 awards show.
