There are shows where people don’t even notice (if a character is missing),” executive producer Elwood Reed told before US Weekly in May 2025, before news of Grace and McEnany’s exits broke. “Randy came in and brought something different to the show as well. When he came in, it was really warm and funny. I think we were missing something in some episodes as well. He was immediately fun as soon as he came in.”
Reed continued, “With those dynamics, and the dynamics of the team, we’re going to continue to build on those things in season three as the show develops. We’re going to bring back some of the characters from season one and season two, and we’re going to see more and more of them.
