John Legend saves Chrissy Teigen from wardrobe malfunction


Chrissy Teigen Almost missed a wardrobe malfunction while attending an event 2026 american music awards Monday, May 25th.

Teigen, 40, was accompanied by her husband on Monday when she hit the red carpet in a bright orange gown. When she stopped to take a photo, Teigen got her heel caught on her beaded dress.

Legend, 47, moved quickly to try and free his wife’s feet from her dress. At one point, another woman stepped in to help. They finally got Teigen’s heels off, but a few beads fell out of the dress. Teigen and Legend can be seen on the carpet as they continue to pose for photos.

Despite the incident, Teigen and Legend were all smiles as the night continued.

Teigen attended Monday’s ceremony with her husband, who took the stage to present an award Carol G Won the International Outstanding Artist Award.

“It’s great to be back at the American Music Awards to present this very special award, the International Outstanding Artist Award,” Legend told the audience. “This is a rare and noble honor that belongs to some of the most iconic superstars of our time. They have made musical history, changed culture around the world and caused global sensations.”

Legend told viewers he thinks Carroll, 35, means “the world.”

Legend noted that presenting Carroll with the award on Monday was “an honor.”

“John, I’m so honored that you’ve given me this award. It’s legendary. It’s definitely going to be a legendary moment in my career,” she said while accepting the award. “I feel so, so grateful. First of all, thank you to God. He has given me the most incredible, amazing experiences of my life. I would say, most importantly, this career has given me the most important thing in life: purpose.”

Carroll continued, “I’ve found purpose through music. I’m so happy that I can perform a song and I can say something in my song and be a voice for a lot of people. A place of healing, a safe place, and I just think my life has meaning because of my music and helping others through it.”
