Israeli attack on southern Lebanon kills 13 people, health ministry says

On April 30, the U.S. Embassy in Beirut stated that a meeting between Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would give Lebanon “the opportunity to obtain concrete guarantees of full sovereignty, territorial integrity, secure borders, humanitarian and reconstruction support, and the full restoration of Lebanese state authority over every inch of its territory.”
