Indonesia train crash kills at least 15 female passengers

A train collision occurred in Bekasi near the Indonesian capital Jakarta, killing at least 15 people.

The incident occurred on Monday night when a stationary passenger train was hit from behind by a long-distance commuter train running on the same track.

The train’s rear carriage, reserved for female passengers, was hit hard and local officials said all of the victims, all women, were trapped inside by crushed metal.

A further 88 passengers were injured in the accident.
