Google has released a new feature designed to help plan summer trips. The tech giant announced on Friday that its internal working AI AI mode now you can help you see if what you want is in the nearest store, and you can also manage hotel prices independently in Search.
With its latest AI Mode update, Google can now contact local stores on your behalf to find out which store has the product you want. This was launched directly on Search last November, and is now rolling out on AI Mode in the coming weeks in the United States.
You can describe what you want, such as “I forgot to pack my sunglasses, so I’m trying to find a pair of polarized sunglasses that will go with my sunglasses. Where can I find them nearby?” Google will call you and send you the details later.
While you can already track hotel prices at the city level, this new update allows you to do so at the specific hotel you want. On a computer, you can do this by searching for the hotel by name and clicking on the new price tracking option. On mobile, you’ll find the option under “Prices” when you search. Once you set this up, you will receive an email alert if the price changes on the dates you select.

As part of its announcement, Google shared that the world’s top destination for Google Flights in the summer of 2026 is St. Maarten, Stockholm, Kansas City, Missouri, and Sarasota, Florida.
It also shared that search interest for “AI travel assistant” and “AI concierge” has increased by 350% over the past year. In addition, “how to use AI to save money on flights” appeared as the top “travel” question last month, and interest in “booking flights with AI” increased by 315%.
