FIFA wants to force teams to include local youth players in the game

The council agreed FIFA Yesterday evening, Tuesday, we decided to try to make an official policy within one year, after global consultation with stakeholders.

The organization said the aim of this is to increase the opportunities for young players who are supported by teams that often rely on bought talent.

FIFA explained that it wants to “regulate the provisions that force the first teams of clubs to have at least one U-20 or U-21 player on the pitch indefinitely.”

The organization said that such a law would be stricter than the existing rules for local and foreign club competitions, including… UEFA Champions Leaguewhich only places specific sections of local players or coaches within the club on the team list, without requiring the presence of a youth player in a certain group on the field permanently, and these rules do not provide any responsibility regarding the selection of players in the starting list.

Champions League rules state that each team’s squad must have eight seats allocated to “home-trained players” out of the 25 players in the full squad.
