Farewell, Jeeves: Ask.com is closing

Ask Jeeves was first launched in 1996 and, focusing on answering questions asked in natural languages, was controversial. the forerunner of today’s AI chatbots. For most of the 30 years, however, it has been overshadowed by other search engines, most notably Google.
