One post read: “By the way, the Kennedy family has long neglected the Kennedy Center. They don’t raise money for it. They never show up. The only Kennedys who have been there recently are members of Trump’s cabinet.”
Another social media post read: “The Trump family has always been a supporter of the arts. The Kennedy family is a supporter of the Kennedy family.”
Just hours ago, the Kennedy family announced the death of Tatiana, who died on Tuesday at the age of 35. Diagnosed with advanced acute myeloid leukemiaIn May 2024, after the birth of her second child, she developed a form of cancer.
“Our beautiful Tatiana passed away this morning. She will always be in our hearts,” the Kennedy Library Foundation said in a statement posted on Instagram on Tuesday. The post was signed by Tatiana’s husband, George Moranparents of their two children, Edwin, 3, and Josephine, 19 months. He was a man who was interested in the arts, interested in culture, interested in education, language and history,” she wrote in a Dec. 18 Instagram post. “He brought art into the White House, he and my Aunt Jackie (Kennedy Onassis) amplified art, celebrated art, stood up for art and artists.”
Shriver added: “It’s incomprehensible that a sitting president would try to rename this great monument that honors President John F. Kennedy. It’s crazy that he thinks it’s acceptable to add his own name in front of President Kennedy’s. It’s not.”
