Darrell Sheets Store Wars’ Costa recalls final interaction

“The weird thing isn’t the buying and selling, it’s the interaction,” Riach said exclusively US Weekly Sunday, April 26th. “Because Darrell’s not the kind of guy who’s going to extend easily. He’s a guy who fights for the last dollar in any deal. A friend of mine bought it from him on one deal, and he asked for a pretty high price. And then my friend gave him a pretty big deficit on what he asked for. Darrell just said, ‘Yeah, that’s great.'”

Riach continued, “My friend was like, ‘That’s kind of weird,’ but didn’t think much of it at the time. It was kind of weird that Darrell didn’t come back to you. I don’t know, my friend didn’t tell me until after we found out what happened to (Sheets). My friend said it felt like he was tying his own business.” He added that Sheets even called him to make sure the check would clear.

“I think Daryl was asking for $125,000 and my friend gave him $50,000 (for the estate collection),” he added. “He asked all these questions and then my friend offered him – (Darrell didn’t say) give me $60,000, or something like that, for an extra five pounds…Darrell said yeah, that’s fine.

“Even the last watch deal I made with Darrell, we were fighting over $50. So I would say that was 110 percent completely out of character for him.”

us It was confirmed on Wednesday, April 22, that Sheets died of an apparent suicide. He is 67 years old.

A spokesman for the Lake Havasu City Police Department said us Authorities responded to a call early Wednesday morning. Police were dispatched to a home in Arizona where they discovered the reality star’s body.

The official cause of death has not been confirmed as the incident is under active investigation.

Riach said that during the “last transaction” he made with Darrell, the two “were arguing with each other for, like, $50,” so he found the final “weird” interaction to be “110 percent completely out of character for Darrell.”

“I think Darryl wanted $125,000 and my friend gave him $50,000,” he continued. “He asked all these questions and then my friend offered him – (Darrell didn’t say) give me $60,000, or something like that, for an extra five pounds…Darrell said yeah, that’s fine.”

Riach, who said “sheets” a few months ago, told us us He considered Darrell a “good friend,” adding that the two were “always making deals.”

“He came to a swap meeting where I was selling a product and we had lunch,” he recalls. “We’re friends off camera, you know, we can talk, and to me, he’s the strongest guy. You can say whatever you want to him and he’ll say whatever he wants to you.”

He continued, “We’re just such good friends, you know? It’s so shocking to me that this whole thing happened.”

Riach remembers their last meeting fondly, which makes the tragic news even more unbelievable.

“Darrell was one of the funniest guys. Everywhere we went, people recognized him. He was a really fun guy,” he said. “I don’t think I’ve ever been on the phone with him or talked to him in the first place where he was harassing me in some way or making things up or making jokes.”

He added, “I was so disbelieving (the news) that I called our show producers. I had to ask, ‘Is this true?’ Darrell was really good at making jokes and always acting in a way where it was like, if something was wrong with him, you’d never know.”
