Danny let’s go! Star Daniel Coleman is sharing a heartbreaking update about his 14-year-old son Isaac’s ongoing cancer battle.
“It’s been a while since I’ve had an update on Isaac’s cancer, which is still hard for me to process and talk about. But the most important update is that his cancer continues to spread severely and his energy levels are down very low,” Daniel, 40, via Instagram Thursday, April 23rd. “We are now undergoing brief palliative radiation therapy to slow the growth of the mass under his right eye, but we have moved to a holistic approach focused on comfort.”
Daniel also revealed that “there is now a hospice team on board to help manage the pain” four months after his son was diagnosed with stage three oral cancer.
“We just try our best to make every day of his life as enjoyable and peaceful as possible,” he continued. “(My wife) Mindy and I are heartbroken watching his decline and knowing how frustrating and scary it must be for him. But we are trying to put it all together and continue to enjoy the time we have with our son.”
December 2025, Daniel announced first Telling his followers that his eldest son “has cancer in his mouth.” (this YouTube star and his wife are also parents to 10-year-old Levi. )
Daniel explains that he knew “this day was coming because Fanconi anemia was almost a certainty.” In 2011, Isaac was born with a rare genetic disorder.

“It’s definitely coming sooner than we would have liked, and it’s still a shocking thing to hear about your child, even if you’ve been preparing for it for years,” Daniel shared before the holidays. “The location of the cancer will require some pretty extensive surgery and potentially skeletal surgery, so we’re not sure yet what the recovery will be like. But we’re anxious to get it done as quickly as possible, so surgery could happen in the next few weeks. … Right now, we’re aggressively treating the cancer step by step.”
While Daniel does his best to keep his followers informed about Isaac’s health via social media, he also makes it a priority to celebrate big wins.
Earlier this month, friends showed up and gave Isaac an otherworldly experience. Daniel and his family hold this memory close to their heart.
“When your closest friends show up in your backyard on a random Wednesday to surprise your Sith-loving son with a full-on Star Wars show (which they’ve choreographed and secretly rehearsed multiple times), you know you’ve made it. ??),” he passed Instagram. “Needless to say, this is a core memory for Isaac and our family!! Deep love to you all 🩵“.
