“They call it CSAR 25:17, which I think is meant to reflect Ezekiel 25:17,” Hegseth began. “It says — please pray with me — ‘The path of the fallen airmen was surrounded by selfish inequality and the tyranny of evil men.”
The Secretary of War continued, “Blessed is the man who guides the lost through the valley of darkness in the name of friendship and duty, for he is indeed his brother’s keeper and the finder of lost children. I will strike with great vengeance and fury those who seek to capture and destroy my brother, and as I seek vengeance against you, you will know that my call sign is Sandy 1.” Amen. “
His moment went viral after many people realized Hegseth had quoted him quentin tarantinoFictional version of Ezekiel 25:17. In the film, Jackson’s character Jules recites poetry in front of him and his associate Vincent Vega (John Travolta) to execute a shady liar.
