yes chicago fireAfter mutual love Vasquez saves their lives, are Violet and Novak ready for romance?
Warning: The following spoilers are from Chicago Fire Season 14 Episode 18.
On the Wednesday, April 22, episode of the NBC series, paramedic Violet Mikami (Hanako Greensmith) and Leila Novak (Jocelyn Hughton) find yourself Trapped in a basement bunker A man claims his pregnant wife is in labor.
As their captor – holding his pregnant tenant hostage – begins to unravel the mystery, firefighter Sal Vasquez (Brandon Laracunt), teaming up with the police to track down Violet and Novak.
While Vasquez’s knowledge of the women helped him find them before someone died in the bunker, Greensmith, 29, and Hughton, 31, exclusively revealed US Weekly That doesn’t mean the caregivers are ready to make him their new guy.
“I think (this episode) further cemented the friendship, especially between Violet and Novak,” Hughton revealed, noting that the paramedics chose to focus on their working relationship rather than worry about Vasquez.

Before the kidnapping, Novak told Violet she was hurt that she kept Vasquez’s hookup a secret for so long. (Violet and Vasquez had a one-night stand earlier in the season, but Violet prevented that from happening again after realizing that Novak might like him more than she let on.)
Once safe, Novak and Violet have a heart-to-heart in the back of the ambulance and agree to always be honest with each other.
“(They said), ‘Okay, we trust each other professionally and personally. Let’s move forward,'” Hudson said of the scene.
Greensmith agreed with Hughton’s assessment, telling us Violet and Novak’s partnership is “the most important thing” to each of them.
She teased that “in the case of Vasquez,” fans will “spend a lot of the rest of the season” learning more about his character and “trying to understand what’s going on in his head.”

when hughton told us There’s still a lot to learn about Nowak’s past — and possible romantic future — this season, she’s been coy about whether a potential romance would involve Vasquez. (Novak blocked Vasquez’s advances this season, telling him sleeping with Violet was out of the question.)
Greensmith revealed, however, that Violet is more of an open book — but after a fling with Vasquez and a brief fling with Sam Carver, she’s trying to figure out what she wants (Jack Lockett), now working in Denver.
“She’s kind of talking to She feels ready. She’s been really committed to anything,” the actress told us. “I think the only thing she really feels committed to and is willing to commit to is her friendship with Novak, and I think that’s what she’s needed all along.”
Greensmith added that in the season’s remaining episodes, Violet will “try to decipher what she needs right now and what’s true for her.”
“The important thing is that she wants to be a good friend to Novak, and I think (this episode) really shows that she can be better at that,” she added. “I hope these are her priorities.”
