Many celebrities have strong opinions on this Metropolitan Museum of Art Charity Gala — but some people stand firmer than others about their beliefs.
Gwyneth Paltrow was one of the first celebrities to publicly admit that she wasn’t having a great time at the Met fundraiser Fashion Institute.
“Do you want me to tell the truth?… Too bad,” Paltrow told USA Today 2013. “It seems like the best thing in the world and you always think, ‘Oh my gosh, it’s going to be so fascinating and amazing and you’re going to see so many people,’ and then you get there and it’s so hot and it’s so crowded and everyone’s pushing you.”
The Oscar winner added that it was “so boring,” “boiling,” “too crowded” and that she “didn’t like it at all.” Despite declaring “I’ll never go again,” Paltrow returned to the Met stage in 2017 and 2019.
