Dramatic footage captured the moment a hybrid car exploded into a huge fireball in lower Manhattan on Tuesday afternoon, sending New Yorkers fleeing.
It happened outside the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) headquarters, not far from Wall Street’s iconic Charging Bull statue.
Videos circulating online showed thick black smoke covering the streets.
Firefighters responded to the incident at around 17:42 ET and extinguished the flames more than an hour later, ABC News reported.
No injuries were reported. The incident is under investigation but is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault.
