BBC visits migrant camps in northern France as new deal announced

Britain is to sign a new three-year deal with Paris aimed at stopping migrants crossing the English Channel in small boats.

The deal, worth more than £600 million, will see riot police deployed on French beaches.

The UK Home Office said some funding would stop after a year if Paris failed to cut crossings.

The BBC’s James Waterhouse visited a migrant camp on France’s north coast to speak to those still considering crossing.
