Apple’s first foldable iPhone is about to appear in September along with the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, according to a new report from Apple. By Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. This article follows the original report Nikkei Asia On Tuesday that raised concerns that the company’s regular iPhone could be delayed due to problems during the phone’s engineering tests.
Gurman says that while the device’s problems may limit early availability, Apple still wants to launch the phone almost immediately or sooner than later in non-production models.
Since the release is still six months away, time is running out, the report says.
The introduction of a foldable iPhone will be a big move for Apple, as it will enable the tech giant to compete better with foldable models from Samsung and China, who have been offering foldable phones for a long time.
Apple’s device is said to have a number of advantages over foldable phones, as the tech giant is said to have solved the issues of screen quality and overall durability, as well as making the notch invisible when the device is unveiled.
