Anthropic introduces Claude Design, a new product for rapid visual design

Anthropic he announced On Friday it is launching Claude Design, a new experimental product that allows users to create visual prototypes, slides, one-page designs, and more using Claude. The company says Claude Design was created to help people like founders and product managers without a built-in infrastructure to easily share their ideas.

With Claude Design, users specify what they want, and Claude creates the first version. From there, users can customize visuals and make direct changes or requests.

For example, you could ask Claude to “create a custom mobile meditation app. It should have a calm typography, natural colors, and a clean design.”

You can change the colors, the size of the font, or ask Claude to add a dark background.

Although Claude Design may initially seem like it wants to compete with the popular Canva program, which has just improved its AI capabilities, Anthropic told TechCrunch that its goal is to expand instead. The company said its new product is designed for people who are new to the design industry and need to move from ideas to tangible products quickly.

When teams create desks or prototypes, they can export them as PDFs, URLs, PPTX files, or export them to Canva. When it comes to Canva, they’re more flexible and collaborative, Anthropic says.

Claude Design can also apply team design to any project that creates results that match the company’s image. Anthropic says Claude Design can do this by reading the company’s codebase and design files. In addition, teams can reorganize these components and maintain more than one system.

The new feature is powered by Claude Opus 4.7 and is available for viewing by Claude Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise subscribers.

The launch reflects Anthropic’s continued focus on the enterprise and prosumer segments, as competition heats up around AI tools for the workplace. In January, Anthropic was released Claude Coworkan assistant that is designed for complex tasks. A few weeks later, the company delivered plug-ins to Cowork which are designed for specific tasks in different departments of the company.

Today’s announcement comes after just a few days Bloomberg He added that VCs have been providing the company with potential seed funding its value is $800 billion or morewhich can match or exceed its OpenAI counterpart. But so far, Anthropic is not interested in the latest ad, according to the report.
