A controversial new bill dubbed the “Stop Nick Shirley Act” is gaining momentum in California.
The bill, also known as AB 2624, prohibits the sharing of photos or personal data of “immigration services” providers on the internet in the state if it constitutes harassment.

Who is Nick Shirley?
Nick Shirley is an independent YouTube journalist who brought national attention to day care fraud in Minnesota and hospice and Medicare fraud in California.
The right-wing content creator previously attended the 2026 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) and has been an outspoken critic of AB 2624.
