There’s a good reason for that – the concept of this movie is good enough that it would be a crime not to. any follow up John CarpenterThe 1982 sci-fi classic isn’t obliged to answer one of the film’s endearing mysteries – MacReady (Kurt Russell) or Childs (Keith David) who do they claim to be, or is one of them really something from another world?
Instead, the sequel may focus on a new set of characters with no ties to the original film. Both Norwegian and American bases were destroyed matterit makes sense that rescuers would come to find survivors and explain why they were missing. What they discover, of course, is a creature that can mimic any organic life form, with the vague goal of world domination.
Follow-up reports could provide more insight into the creature’s origins, why it chose Earth as its new home, and how deadly it became as it continued to evolve. While it’s tempting to use CGI to bring creatures to life, sequels should stick to what made the original great – practical effects that feel so real you want to throw. This is not required but would be cool if it was available Wyatt RussellThe son of Kurt, the cast continues his father’s legacy of creating badass heroes.

This 1985 sci-fi classic has lost none of its charm, and the time travel concept at its center is ripe for an update in 2026.
But how? original series stars Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Leigh Thompson and Crispin Glover are still with us, so it’s possible that the sequel will include them while also adding new actors such as Jack Quaid Starring Marty McFly Jr. and Bryan Cranston Engage a new generation as one of Dr. Emmett Brown’s scientist disciples. Time travel itself is now a hot topic thanks to popular movies and shows like Netflix dark and Christopher Nolan’s purposeso follow-up actions are likely to appeal to all four quadrants.

It’s a good sign that we can finally see The Goonies 2 The actors from 1985 are back to reprise their roles. Some, such as Josh Brolin (brand) and Kehui Spring (Data), has gained more fame and even won an Oscar, while others, e.g. Jeff Cohen (block) and Kerry Green (Andy), left show business to pursue other careers. It’d be great to see the OG Goonies reunited, and maybe help a new generation of treasure-hunting teens find the adventure they’re looking for.

Paramount/Kobal/ShutterstockIt’s no exaggeration to say that many people have wanted a sequel to John Hughes’ popular teen comedy since 1986. For whatever reason, that didn’t happen, but if humans are able to revisit the moon in 2026, Hollywood could certainly make a sequel. Ferris Bueller’s second day off.
The obvious route would be to focus on a new group of bored teenagers escaping the prison of high school, but I think it would be more interesting and deeper if we followed the original trio – the Ferriss.Matthew Broderick), Sloan (my sara) and Cameron (Alan Rooker) – who take a break and reunite as adults. In my version, Cam made millions as a tech entrepreneur and Sloan became a journalist chicago tribune Ferris sold his shares and found a desk job at his father’s company.
Throw in some throwbacks to the original (driving down the highway and watching a Cubs game again are a must), plus some new Chicago hotspots we’ve never been to before, like Millennium Park and a walk along Navy Pier, and you’ve got a sequel that will delight millennials and make most Gen-Xers cry when they see it on the screen.

New World Pictures/Getty Imagesyou might argue Heathers There have been several sequels so far, as well as spiritual successors inability, Jawbreaker and two versions mean girls Carrying the “high school is cruel” torch. But nothing can compare to the original, and we’re long overdue for the best update to Westburg High. (Better forget The terrible streaming TV reboot of 2018.)
at the end Heathersonly Veronica Sawyer (Winona Ryder) and Heather Doherty at JD’s (Christian Slater) seeks to punish his peers for living empty, spiritually empty lives. Sadly, Doherty is no longer with us, but Ryder is more popular than ever thanks to Stranger Things, and it will be interesting to see how she takes on an older, wiser take on the iconic character. Slater could also return, but since J.D. blew himself up in the original’s explosive climax, the sequel’s writers would have to find a creative way to bring him back. Maybe an evil twin? AI? scream 7 It turns out it’s possible to bring back a fan-favorite character who’s been dead for decades.
