3-year-old boy dies after running away from home in the middle of the night


A three-year-old child from Wisconsin disappeared from home in the middle of the night and was found dead the next morning.

The toddler’s identity has not been released. However, New London, Wisconsin police posted a missing persons post via Facebook on Monday, April 13, and shared a photo of the young boy. Authorities said he was last seen around midnight near a middle school.

In the post, the boy is described as 3 feet tall, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing an orange Chicago Bears jersey and diaper.

Police in the news release did not name the school where the child was last seen, but WLUK and WFRV reported it was New London Middle School.

“It doesn’t look dangerous, but the current levels are quite dangerous even for healthy people,” he said. “It’s definitely not recommended to be anywhere around it without a life jacket. You can pinch your hands on docks and stuff and they’ll come out slowly as they float down towards you, but they have pretty good momentum at 10,000 cubic feet per second.”
