XAUUSD – Short-term trend unclear, waiting for price to arrive..

1. Fundamental analysis
In intraday trading today, gold prices maintained a slight adjustment pace after hitting a high in about two weeks.
The overall market sentiment has become more positive, leading to a temporary withdrawal of funds from safe-haven assets, weakening demand for gold, and strong profit taking in the short term.

However, the Fed’s dovish outlook still weakens the dollar, which is a key factor that may continue to support gold prices in the medium term. Lana believes that the current stage is mainly a technical adjustment, and prioritizes waiting for prices to reach important liquidity areas before taking any action.

2. Technical analysis

The first half time frame shows that after a strong advance, the price paused with bearish confirmation in the overhead resistance area.
The upward trend line is still supporting the structure, indicating that the general trend has not been broken, but the upward momentum is slowing and the market is turning into a state of indecision.
Below, the FVG demand area around 4113-4111 and deeper at 4085-4088 functions as a liquidity zone, and Lana expects buyers to return to this area.
Above, the 4194-4196 area is an important resistance level that coincides with the supply and liquidity area above, making it suitable for a correctional sell-off scenario if the price returns to a test.

3. Price considerations
High Liquidity/Strong Resistance Areas:
4194 – 4196

Bottom Liquidity/Support Zone and FVG:
4113 – 4111: The first demand zone, close to the upward trend line.
4085 – 4088: Lower FVG area, if the adjustment is deeper, the support is stronger.
