X restricts the generation of Grok images to paying subscribers unless they attract the world

Elon Musk’s AI company has banned the anti-Grok AI version from registering itself on X, after the tool drew international criticism for allowing users to create sexual and nude images of women and children.

In a response to users on Friday, Grok said that only those who pay for X will be able to create and edit photos on the platform. In particular, this limit does not apply to the Grok program, which, at the time of publication, was allowing anyone to create images without paying to register.

Initially available to anyone with a daily limit, Grok’s feature allows users to upload anyone’s photo and ask it to edit or create a sexual or nude image. What followed was a real flood about sexually inappropriate images of children, actors, models and celebrities, angering many countries.

X and Musk have both publicly criticized the use of such a photo-editing tool, writing that the company will adhere to its policies against posting illegal content on the platform. “Anyone who uses grok to make illegal content will face the same consequences as if they uploaded something illegal,” Musk said tweeted last week.

The UK, European Union and India have all criticized X and Grok for allowing the use of its power. The EU on Thursday asked xAI to to save all chatbot related documents, by the Indian communication ministry last week he ordered X to make immediate changes to prevent the graphic design from being misused or endangering the security of this country’s port. The UK Communications watchdog he said also contacted xAI on this matter.
