Woman shot and killed man, accused of sexually assaulting minor


A Tennessee woman who allegedly shot a man more than a dozen times after learning he had been accused of sexually assaulting a child she was related to is behind bars.

US Weekly It is understood that at about 2 a.m. on February 26, a Memphis police officer found an unconscious man lying in the middle of the road while on patrol.

A police spokesman confirmed the man was identified as Some Santilan Rincon — Shot 14 times, including one in the head, and now dead.

Police learned that Rincon, 58, had been dating Alison Torres‘Mum, but he left for the shop around 1am.

The mother said she later began receiving calls from 18-year-old Torres on Rincon’s cell phone, police said.

Investigators have not disclosed what those phone conversations may have involved.

Torres was traced and arrested on Thursday, March 5, on a charge of first-degree murder. When speaking with police, she allegedly said that three to four weeks ago, a 5-year-old girl at her home accused Rincon of sexually touching them.

Police said Torres and Rincon met while driving to the store to buy milk and rice, and she allegedly asked him if she could use his cellphone. That’s when she allegedly confronted him about the girl’s accusations. Police allege that shortly after, she began shooting at Ricon’s van.

Torres allegedly told investigators that she actually took a photo of the bloody crime scene before pulling Rincon out of the driver’s seat and onto the street. She allegedly told police she drove the van to an abandoned house where she repainted it.

She said she then left her car at the apartment complex with her boyfriend, who she insisted was not involved and knew nothing about the murder.

Relatives eventually arrived at the scene and identified the body.

Police allegedly found a gun in Torres’ handbag, which she admitted was one of two she used in the shooting.

Torres told investigators she sold or gave away another gun used to kill Rincon.

Torres is also charged with use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and tampering with evidence.

She has been detained as an investigation into what happened is ongoing. As the case moves into prosecution, detectives are asking anyone with information about the case to contact the Memphis Police Department’s Homicide Division.

Jail records show Torres is a Honduran citizen.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has asked Tennessee officials to hold her until a later date.
