Wispr Flow introduces an AI-powered dictation app for Android

AI-powered dictation activation Whisper Flow has launched its Android app today. The company released its software for Mac and Windows first, then launched on iOS in June 2025.

On iOS, users can access Wispr Flow via a dedicated keyboard. On Android, the interface is a little different, because you can access the dictionary through the floating cloud. You can hold the bubble and command, or click once to start, then click the close button to stop the process. As in other platforms, in addition to commands, the program cleans the filter words and creates notes based on the content of the program and what is spoken.

“Android finally gave us the freedom to create the voice we always wanted. Only when the platform takes off can we really expect voice to replace typing on phones,” said Tanay Kothari, co-founder and CEO of the startup.

The software can support translation in more than 100 languages ​​and can work with other software. Along with the release of the Android app, Wispr Flow said it has also added development features that make it 30% faster than before.

Although there are tons AI-powered dictation software available for desktop and iOSWispr Flow is one of the few available on Android with this setup, including Typeless, which introduced it platform program last month.

In addition, the company has also released a new model of Hinglish, a mixture of Hindi and English, for mixed-speaking Indians.

“If you’re someone like me, English and Hindi weave together when I spend time with my family and friends at home. This is one of those times when I had to create something for myself: the first example of a text to help translate into Hinglish instead of the traditional Hindi script,” said Kothari.

The company noted that despite the initial release to select users, users have spoken more than 1.3 million words in English in the past few days.

Wispr Flow has become one of the most popular startups in the AI-powered automation software category that has also attracted a lot of attention from the industry. In June, the risk has increased $30 million in funding led by Menlo Ventures in June. In a few months, in November, the company raised $25 million in a round led by Notable Capital. Wispr Flow has raised $81 million in total, and its last round was $700 million according to sources.
