I mean, I was just sick for two weeks and then another week before I got out of the hospital,” Hilton said in a YouTube video posted on March 23, 2026. “Last week was hell because I had been in the hospital for two weeks. I was like, ‘I just want to go home. I just want to be with my kids.'”

“Last night, I started having real soreness and pain in one of my legs. This morning, it got worse. I couldn’t even walk. I had to use a walker,” Hilton said via Instagram April 2, 2026. “Thank you to these amazing doctors and nurses and God, I’ve seen some of the nurses who took care of me for 21 days while I was here fighting and overcoming sepsis. Now I’m back, but I had to have emergency surgery.”
According to Hilton, if the clot had traveled to his lungs or my heart, “it could have been really bad.”
The blogger shared an update on Perez Hilton’s condition after doctors performed surgery to remove his blood clot.
“This morning’s thrombectomy was quick and painless. I was already asleep. And I’m already feeling better!” Hilton via Instagram April 3, 2026. “The surgical assistant showed me what they had extracted and it was so much! I had a completely occlusive blood clot in my groin and down my calf! Huge!!”
Hilton said he should be able to go home and celebrate Easter with his family without pain.
“Thank you to everyone who sent out prayers and positive vibes,” he shared. “It means a lot.”
Although Perez Hilton was able to leave the hospital in time to celebrate Easter 2026 at home, His pain continues.
“It’s very difficult to walk. I’m in pain, so much pain, I’m trying not to take any painkillers, but the pain is 10 out of 10,” he said via Instagram April 5, 2026. “They operated on my abdomen on Friday morning and the entry point was just below my knees. The area that hurt me the most is the same area they operated on, so if you want to say some prayers or just hope that I get better soon and can walk without pain, that’s awesome.”
Hilton also revealed that he will begin treatment in the coming days after experiencing “so much trauma.”
On April 7, 2026, Hilton confirmed that he was finally feeling better and stand up again. “Thank God I can finally walk again – slowly,” he wrote on Instagram, sharing a video of himself using a walker in a room at home. “And, while the pain is still very noticeable, I can live with it – and all without the need for medication. Amen!! Every day it gets easier and I get stronger!!! So that’s how it goes!”
