Grenier joked that while he won’t be on screen, “I hope they at least invite me to the premiere, come on!”

While Nate did provide some necessary grounding for Andy, who eventually wanted to be a reporter, fans quickly turned against the character because he was unhappy with his girlfriend working so hard for Miranda.

“He couldn’t support her in the way she needed to because he was a fragile, damaged boy,” Grenier said. “On behalf of all countries: Come on! Come on!”

Hathaway, Streep and Blunt will all return for the latest version, which will be released in May 2026, while entertainment weekly It was reported in June 2025 that Grenier would not return.
