According to reports, Nicki Morrison was born on July 25, 1968 in Dayton, Ohio. her obituary. She graduated from Fairmont High School in Kettering, Ohio and later studied organizational communications at Ohio University.
She met her future husband, sports illustrated Writer Jay Morrison while they were attending Ohio University. They have been married for 32 years.

Outside of work, Nikki’s family revealed in her obituary that she “loved to plan parties, which were usually hers.” Nikki founded the Palmerfest Block Party in her adopted hometown of Athens, Ohio, when Ohio University “tried to suppress its annual spring party by banning beer sales.”
“Nikki also leaves behind a vast network of friends who loved her dearly and considered her family,” her family said. “She was the one people came to for advice because she listened with her heart and her ears. Not only was she an elite gift-giver that was sentimental and hilarious, but she was a gift to everyone who knew her—and some who didn’t.”
