WhatsApp on Wednesday said it is rolling out new features for group chats, including tags, stickers, and event reminders.
With member tags, you can choose a name that gives others in the community to communicate more about who you are and your role. For example, you can be “Anna’s father” in one group, and “Goalkeeper” in another group.
Speaking of stickers, you can turn any word into a sticker by typing your words into the Sticker Search. You can also add these newly created stickers directly to your sticker packs without sending them to chat.
Event reminders allow you to set reminders for invitees when you create and post an event on social media.
The new feature comes as WhatsApp continues to boost group chats with the ability to share files up to 2GB in size, send HD media, screen share, voice chat, and more.
