What you need to know about Acting Attorney General Todd Branch

President Donald Trump has appointed Todd Branch as acting U.S. attorney general after removing Pam Bondi from her top law enforcement post.

In an article published in Truth Social, Trump praised Bondi and said she would “transition” into a role in the private sector.

Branch was Trump’s personal attorney before becoming the Justice Department’s No. 2 attorney and defended him in a series of cases, including his federal indictment for allegedly withholding classified documents after his first term as president.
