Police are investigating a new message sent to a local news station nearly a week after Nancy Guthrie, the mother of US news presenter Savannah Guthrie, disappeared. The first deadline for a purported ransom letter passed Thursday night.

Guthrie’s family continues to plead for evidence that their mother, who is believed to have been abducted from her home in Tucson, Arizona, is still alive.
